Anthony Lister, February 23, Los Angeles
February 13th, 2012 Posted by: Paper MonsterAnthony Lister is bringing a new body of work stateside for a show at LA's New Image Art. The man has been up on the streets as well, and our friends at Arrested Motion have a great photo collection of a new mural he has painted (pictured above). Also, after the jump are a few images of his new work.
If you are in the LA area, we highly suggest making it to the on February 23rd, as Lister always has a interesting opening night.
For his new exhibition Lister has created a montage of figurative renderings with special focus on the central theme of the beautiful and sometimes twisted form of the dancing ballerina. Along with a special print release and new series of sculptures, this new body of work promises to wow the viewer in its technical skill and refinement derived from sketching a live model. The opening reception will also feature a live dance performance as well as a hanging installation.
